Much of an engine can be easily broken down into sections or, like gaskets, is something that connects and seals those sections together. However, there are a few parts of any power equipment engine that aren’t really part of a section, but which are important, including crankshafts, camshafts, and other key pieces in providing drive.

While these don’t fill a gasket’s purpose in holding the engine together, they tend to be vital in making sure that the drive produced in each section makes it to the next, which naturally means that when one fails, the engine will either fail to work or will work at only very limited output.

In the event that a part has failed like that, you can use our interactive parts diagrams to identify what, specifically, has failed and learn its parts number, making ordering it easy and also giving you a clear understanding of how it sits in the engine when it’s undamaged – which can be very useful, especially for novice mechanics.

Getting up to speed with what’s needed and getting it in place shouldn’t be hard, and we work to make it as simple as possible so that you can order in confidence.
